DescriptionBircham Mill is considered one of the best still remaining: it is the only windmill in working order in the area open to the public. Visitors can climb the five floors up to the fan stage and, when possible, on windy days, visitors can also see the sails and the milling machinery turning. There are also many items of interest to see in the tearooms, bakery and grounds.

Subject: Bircham Windmill
Comment: Beautiful location but vastly overpriced and very disappointing. - £13 for family with 3 children just to climb 5 floors to the top of the windmill, then climb back down again! My advice is don't bother - go to Castle Rising instead - just a few miles away and infinitely better value!
