The original private collection was formed in 1981 as the Hunter One Collection by Mike Carlton. In 1988, following his tragic death in a flying accident, the Hunter One Collection was sold and renamed Jet Heritage. In 1994 Jet Heritage was granted charity status and a board of trustees commenced preparations to display the aircraft to the public. The award-winning Swanage Railway currently operates on the six miles of track between Swanage and Norden, through the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, passing the magnificent ruins of Corfe Castle.

Brownsea Island is the largest of eight islands in Poole Harbour in Dorset, England. The island is 1.5 miles long and 0.75 miles wide and is owned by the National Trust. One of Britain's most majestic ruins, a 1000 year-old castle, rising above the Isle of Purbeck in Dorset.
The oldest surviving structure on the castle site dates to the 11th century, although evidence exists of some form of stronghold predating the Norman Conquest. Edward the Martyr was assassinated at the site on March 18, 978.
Construction of a stone hall and inner bailey wall occurred in the 11th century and extensive construction of other towers, halls and walls... [more]
