At our three swimming pools across the District we offer swimming lessons for people aged 6 months to Adult at various times during the day and evening. Tutors are fully qualified and hold a current nationally recognised rescue qualification

Our Pulse Fitness Team at Wickford Pool offer a wide range of Water Aerobics sessions. The Pulse Aqua, Deep Water Workout and 'Nifty Fifty' sessions for the over 50's are very popular and should be booked in advance to avoid diappointment. [more]

The latest in sound and lighting effects combine with a lively disco atmosphere in Riverside's ice rink, one of only two rinks in the whole of Essex.

It's also the home of the Chelmsford Chieftains Ice Hockey Team and the venue for their exciting home matches. Rink-side facilities at Riverside include a fully licensed bar, cafeteria, hot and cold vending and seating for over 600 spectators. There are over 2000 pairs of skates available for hire at the rink.
