Hailes Abbey is two miles northeast of Winchcombe, Gloucestershire, England.
The abbey was founded in 1245 or 1246 by Richard, Earl of Cornwall, called "King of the Romans" and the younger brother of King Henry III of England. He was granted the manor of Hailes by Henry, and settled it with Cistercian monks from Beaulieu Abbey in Hampshire. The lido is a great day out in the heart of Cheltenham, on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is a children's paradise with slides, a children's pool and a paddling pool. Our 50 metre pool is also an ideal place to train, two lanes are reserved most days.
In the meantime, have a look around the site and we'll see you in the spring!

Lodge Park is a rare 17th-century grandstand situated on Sherborne Estate in the Cotswolds.
Lodge Park was built as a grandstand to watch deer coursing in 1634 by John 'Crump' Dutton. Lodge Park stands in the Sherborne Estate.

An Arts & Crafts-style garden designed to complement a handsome Cotswold manor house. Has wonderful views of Cotswold countryside.
Snowshill Manor was the property of Winchombe Abbey from 821 until 1539 when the Abbey was confiscated by King Henry VIII during the Dissolution of the Monasteries.

Wotton Pool is very small but does have changing rooms attached. Although the pool is an outdoor facility it has a retractable cover that can be fully closed during bad weather. [more]
